Inaugural ceremony of the Monsoon Sports tournament at AIIMS Bibinagar
The Sports Committee of AIIMS Bibinagar conducted the inaugural ceremony of the Monsoon
Sports tournament on 10th July 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. The tournament, scheduled from 12th
to 19th July, features indoor sports including chess, badminton, table tennis, & carrom for students,
faculty, and staff.

Executive Director, Prof. Dr. Ahanthem Santa Singh addressed the gathering,
emphasizing the synergy between sports and academics, while Dean Academics, Prof. Dr. Nithin
Ashok John, spoke on the importance of sports in enhancing physical and mental well-being. The
event was also graced by the Medical Superintendent, Prof.

Dr. Abhishek Arora, and Sports Nodal
Officers, Dr. Syama Sundar and Dr. Rekha P. The sports torch was handed over to the new student
representatives, Mr. Ashthosh and Ms. Ashna, and officially lit by the Director to mark the opening
of the Monsoon Sports Tournament
